Sunnyside

You might be surprised to learn that famous punk rock group The Ramones had their early start at music venues in Sunnyside. The area is known for being home to one of the first residential planned communities in the country, Sunnyside Gardens. This allowed for dense residential development, but also maintained scenic greenery as one of the many neighborhood amenities. Bordered by Long Island City and only a few stops from Manhattan, Sunnyside remains a hidden jewel, still undiscovered by large scale developers. It maintains a true Queens sense of community, and is home to a diverse international population.
